Review: ENCA Acne Drying Pinky Powder & AC Control Balancing Toner

Hi dolls! Today I'll be posting a super quick review of ENCA Acne Drying Pinky Powder & Control Balancing Toner that I got from Wishtrend. By the time I write this review, I've already emptied the pinky powder, and nearly finish the toner too.

Quick overview: will return your smile by soothing tenacious skin problems

Brand : ENCA
Volume : 15ml
All Skin Types
(Especially good for Oily skin)
Made in Korea

ENCA Acne Drying Pinky Powder is perfect for anyone looking for acne treatment.
It is a fast-acting formula that reduces acne and pimples. It contains effective ingredients
soothe, relieve and reduce acne pimples. It’s very common to feel annoyed
when you find an acne pimple on the skin.

At that time, it now is easy to keep calm by just applying
Acne Drying Pinky Powder at night for a few days before you sleep.
However, sometimes you need to extract the pimple before hand depending on the
pimples stage. After extracting and cleaning, you should always do follow-up care for
preventing any scar or pigmentation with this product.

I received this product in 2013 and promptly finish it in less than half a year. It's been a long time but I haven't been able to put up a review because of my hiatus. Last year, my skin wasn't in its best condition. It's drying and breaking out like mad. However I'm all better now because I switched back to my usual skincare regime (beautyzen. will make a separate post about it later). So yeah, ENCA Acne Drying Pinky Powder is a type of spot treatment for acne. Its main ingredients is calamine, with a little salicylic acid and sulfur added. It works well treating and diminishing non cystic acne. I need several days before I could actually see the difference. But to my dismay,  I didn't see how this product could get rid of cystic acne or nodule.

ENCA Acne AC Control Balancing Toner comes in a pump type plastic bottle. It's quite huge, 140 ml and will last long even with frequent use. I used this product for a couple of months before I eventually stopped. Yeah, I didn't really see it getting rid of my skin troubles back then. Despite of having lots of disinfectant like tea tree oil and triclosan, it unfortunately didn't stop my breakouts. However, this toner, is not as 'strong/harsh' as some toners that is purposedly made to cure blemish (like one I know, Clinique, it's super harsh don't you ever try it I seriously loathe clinique blemish line now! It breaks me out like there's no tomorrow and my friend also happens to abhor it as well... as clinique made her woke up in the middle of her sleep. She said her face was so itchy she couldn't help but to wash her face over again). Sorry for the rant, lol. So yeah, this product is not as drying, which is actually a good thing.  But again, sadly it didn't help me eradicate awful blemishes.

However, my skin condition  has improved a lot after switching back to beautyzen, and I have monthly appointment with dermatologist now so it's all better. Have you ever had a problem with blemishes and care to share how you dealt with it?

Photoshop: How to Make Dotted Line Selection [VIDEO]

What is line selection? and how can it improves your blogging? I'm sure you have seen at least some pictures on blogger with dotted/dashed line area selection on it, particularly on beauty tutorial pictures or step by step make up application pictures. And because not everyone knows the trick, I'm gonna show you how to make dotted area selection with lasso tool in Adobe Photoshop (with video!)

dotted line selection, marking certain areas on pictures.

If you are a beauty blogger who loves to post up step by step pictures of your make-up looks, tutorials, or something like that, it's a great thing to utilize Adobe Photoshop (or any other software) to improve your post quality. With dotted line selection, your tutorial is supposedly become easier to understand.

Open Adobe Photoshop. We'll be using lasso tool (I prefer to use polygonal lasso tool but the choice is totally up to you). Set feather at 0 px.

Load your picture (let's say you are also using eyes make-up picture). Click on polygonal lasso tool from tools panel then click somewhere along the lash line, outer line, or anywhere you wish because it makes no difference where along the object you begin your selection with the Lasso Tool. Continue drawing an outline around the area of photo you need until you go back to where you start. Once it connected, a selection is created and you'll see a moving lines outlining your area.

Tips: if you make mistakes when working with polygonal lasso tool, press 'backspace' to undo.

Right click > Make work path. You'll now have a solid line outlining the area.
Click on 'T' (TEXT) button on the tools panel. Then click the work path to begin typing. If you want to make a dotted line, continuously press (.) dot. For dashed line, you can continuously press (-) hyphen symbol.

Now it's time to adjust your font kerning. You don't have to if your dotted line already looks awesome. But if the dots are too close together, let's space them apart by adjusting kerning percentage and font size.

Photoshop kerning adjustment

From 100%, set to either 150% or 200%. It's totally up to your liking. The bigger the percentage, the wider the spacing between font would be. Adjust it wisely. Don't forget to ctrl+a (select all) the dots before you adjust the kerning.

Spacing between font is too tight, make it wider by adjusting kerning

ctrl+a (selet all) the dots before adjusting kerning

This is the final look of dotted line selection (kerning set to 200%, font century gothic)

You could style the line to your heart content, either dashed, dotted, spacy, or tight. Just anything that suits you the best. You can also change the color of the lines to whatever color you want. To do so, ctrl+a on the lines and simply click on the color palette then select the color you like. Not only that, you can resize it by clicking the layer then press CTRL+T.
